AI roadmap

Template id: ai-roadmap Responsible skills: ai-strategy:strategic-outcomes (sections 1 to 4) and ai-strategy:ai-roadmap (sections 5 to 9)

Use this template to record the organisation's strategic AI outcomes, principles and exclusions, and the sequenced roadmap that delivers them. Outcomes describe business results, never products. Any figure the organisation has not measured stays marked [To confirm: ...].

1. Strategic outcomes

Keep three to five. Each must be a business result, measurable, owned by a business executive and plausible from the current maturity baseline.

Fictional example, for illustration only: "Reduce the time case handlers spend writing case summaries, measured by average handling time, owned by the operations director."

2. AI principles

Write each principle as a decision rule: the principle, then what it means in practice.

4. Executive sponsorship

Review forums the sponsor chairs[To confirm: forums and frequency]

5. Roadmap horizons

Now is committed, next is planned, later is indicative. Each initiative carries its owner, risk tier and current lifecycle stage (Envision, Deliver, Assure, Launch, Measure, Scale, Improve).
